When a student just comes out of school and goes to college, they think it will be like the ones we see in the movies.
Everyday will be a party and we can do what we want. No classes and no attendance problem. In short we think we're entering a life of bliss for the next three years. College is a far cry from this. Reality strongly begs to differ.
I vividly remember my first day in college. Everyone looked at me as if i was a creature from another planet. 'She is just too tall' was their reaction.
People were scared of me for reasons best known to them. :) I've had the brilliant experience of throwing my seniors out of their own class. :) It was in good humor.
In these three years things have changed so much. I've made some wonderful friends and i've had the privilege of being taught by some of the most brilliant teachers.
I've had juniors who had been darlings and devils. We've had quite a blast.
This note is an ode to all of you.
Making friends in college takes time. We all had our share of picking and choosing. Everyone seemed either too not our types or too nerdy to be friends with.
Ultimately we all found a perfect balance and made great friends.
My class had 25 unique individuals. The first row was the curious lot. ALWAYS asking questions.
The second row TRIED to ask questions. The third row asked NO questions and the fourth and fifth row tried their best to NOT answer any question. :)
Despite our differences we were always united. In this lay our greatest triumph.
College had drastically changed us so much. From young girls we've become young women ready to take on the world.
Its been a bumpy ride but we've braved it all. To each of my friends i'd like to tell you that no matter what i will always be there for you.
To my teachers i'd like to say that they have made the three years of my college life the best ever.
To all those waiting to join college i'd say don't be so excited. You haven't seen anything yet ! :)
